“Recovering carbon from contaminated matrices by exploiting the nitrogen and sulphur cycles”

The new European project RECYCLES, started on January 1, 2020, and coordinated by GENOCOV Research Group Dr. David Gabriel Buguña of the Department of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering of the UAB, aims to explore the integration of carbon, nitrogen and sulfur cycles in bioreactors to design optimum treatments for recovering value-added products from waste liquid and / or gaseous effluents.

Andrea Vincitorio and Serena Falcioni from Università degli Studi di Firenze will stay for 6 months at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as master students joining the Erasmus program.

Nicollette Laroco (2nd year PhD Student in Environmental Engineering) from the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU Boulder) will be at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) as a visiting researcher for 9 months.
