Maria Isabel Mora defended her thesis dissertation "Kinetic characterization of S-oxidizing biomass, obtained from desulfurizing biotrickling filters under anoxic and aerobic conditions" last december 12th, 2014 Congratulations Mabel!! Last December 12th, Maria Isabel Mora presented her thesis at the School of Engineering, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The thesis is entitled "Kinetic characterization of S-oxidizing biomass, obtained from desulfurizing biotrickling filters under anoxic and aerobic conditions" and this is and enormous work in the field of characterizing microbial activity using respirometric techniques. Dr. David Gabriel (GENOCOV) and Dr. Xavier Gamisans (TRAGASOL) were the thesis supervisors.

Dr. Julio Munz (University of Florence), Martín Ramírez (University of Cádiz) and Oriol Gutiérrez (Institut Català de la Recerca de l’Aigua, ICRA) acted as committee members who judged the thesis. She got the maximum award.
