Abdiel Olmedo is a mecatronic engineer and MSc student in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies at the Industrial Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Ecatepec, México, that was awarded a mobility grant to participate in the RETOS 2015 Project CTQ2015-69802-C2-1-R– SONOVA “Development of a comprehensive treatment process for SOx and NOx from flue gas addressed to waste gases valorization”.
Abdiel will stay for 5 months at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in the GENOCOV research group in view of optimizing the energy recovery from flue gases for heating up biological reactors and to dry the elemental sulfur produced in the biological process. He will setup the flue gases treatment and S recovery process in Aspen One to simulate a range of scenarios that allow optimizing the energy usage in the process.
Welcome to UAB Abdiel!!
