Jesús Rodríguez is a researcher in the Research Unit of CNH2. He works on bioelectrochemical systems and biological processes for H2 production, in the Laboratory of BioEnergy. This is a new facility focused on linking H2 technologies and biological processes, including bioelectrochemical systems. Currently, he is working on development of new environmental friendly materials for Microbial Fuel Cells and Microbial Fuel Electrolyzers, as well as the evaluation of different organic wastes as substrates for dark fermentation process.
In the framework of a collaboration agreement, he intends to be part of GENOCOV’s research group for three months, aiming at improving his knowledge about bioelectrochemical systems. He will test different methods for fabrication of MEC’s cathodes and performance of advance ceramic materials as alternative to polymeric membranes for in MFC.
The present stage will allow creating a new research line on Microbial Electrolysis in the Laboratory of Bioenergy in the CNH2, as well as evaluating new potential collaboration fields/topics between Genocov Group and National Hydrogen Centre.
