The “2nd National conference of bioprocess for air treatment: meeting of young researchers” consisted of a meeting for the new national researchers (PhD and master students) which studies where focused in the waste gases biotreatment. In this way, they could present their recent research lines and also, to interact and to exchange ideas and experiences.
In this conference participated the Universidad de Cádiz, the Universidade da Coruña, the Universitat de València, the Universidad de Valladolid, the Universidad del País Vasco, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The GENOCOV group contributed with two oral presentations:
E. Fernández: Sulfur recovery from flue gases: study of sulfate-reducers and sulfide oxidizers bioreactors.
E. Blázquez: Autotrophic sulfate removal using H2 as the sole electron donor for sulfur recovery.
