David Cueto, a new Master Student in GENOCOV

David will be working with a continuous process in lab scale for treatment of stream with high sulphide content. This oxidation process is performed by sulphur-oxidizing bacteria, and in that sense, it is been evaluating for different hydraulic retention time the optimal conditions for partial oxidation to sulphur and avoiding thiosulfate and sulphate formation. Sulphur is a desired product as it is insoluble and easy to recover, it also has high demand in agriculture and industry and then representing a good step for its application in a circular economy.
