EcoSTP16 is the third IWA specialized international conference “ecotechnologies for wastewater treatment” and took place in Cambridge (UK) in June 27-30, 2016. The ecoSTP16 conference acted as a key platform for promoting, exchanging and discussing ideas that will help re-shape the future of the wastewater treatment plants. This conference was focused on the development and application of novel technologies for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment while assuring the goals of environmental and economic sustainability.
Clara Reino and Enric Blázquez contributed with three oral presentations entitled as follows:
- Kinetic and microbiological characterization of granular sludge performing partial nitritation at mainstream conditions (C. Reino)
- Two-stage N-removal technology for implementing the use of anammox for sewage treatment (C. Reino)
- Simultaneous autotrophic sulfate reduction and sulfide oxidation to elemental sulfur in a BES cathode (E. Blázquez)
