SHORT SUMMARY OF HIS SCIENTIFIC CAREER
Rafa Valdés (Zaragoza, 1996) holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2018) and an MSc in Biological and Environmental Engineering (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2020). During his MSc studies, he investigated the denitrification process applied in a contaminated swamp, using wood sticks as filling material and as carbon source. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Environmental Science and Technology. His research is focused on recycling textile yarns from clothes, mainly cotton and polyester, where different kind of yarns would be separated, spun and introduced again in the textile industry, which is the main goal of the project.
